FAQs

We understand enough about your fragile human brains to know that you probably have questions about the sudden appearance of a race of technologically superior space beings on your intergalactic doorstep. Our Human Affairs Officer has prepared some answers below.

  • I always start with the beat. I let myself unwind and let ideas flow, waiting for that first line or a catchy melody to hit. From there, it’s all about piecing the puzzle together, letting each line find its perfect place.

  • I’ve realized that the little details in everyday life can be incredibly inspiring. The emotional highs and lows life throws at us each day? They’re the perfect fuel for new ideas, sparking creativity in unexpected ways.

  • The album that made me fall in love with hip-hop was 2001 by Dr. Dre. Not long after, I found myself deeply inspired by Lil Wayne—his style and lyrical agility were next-level. Hearing how he used autotune in his vocals was groundbreaking for me back then; it opened my mind to new possibilities in sound.

  • I was born in Tehran but moved to Canada when I was just 16. The themes of immigration and missing home have naturally found their way into some of my work. Growing up, I was taught to be ambitious, and that drive shines through in my tracks that aim to boost confidence and inspire.

  • I’m more into TV series than movies—*Ozark* is definitely my favorite. When it comes to books, I'd have to say 1984 by George Orwell tops the list for me.

  • The biggest challenge for any rapper is staying relevant. It’s a fine line—keeping your audience engaged without becoming too predictable or losing that authentic edge.

  • I’d love to create a soulful, melodic track with Siavash Ghomeishi—a song that dives deep into the sadness and emotion only music can capture.

  • I’ve always had a deep passion for teaching; I once dreamed of being a high school teacher, inspiring the next generation and sharing knowledge every day.

  • I’m really into Future’s mumble rap style—there’s something raw and unique about the vibe he creates.

  • One of my favorite tracks has to be Balance, which I had the chance to co-write with JJ. There’s something special about how it all came together.

  • I met Niloufar back in January 2011, and we've been inseparable ever since. After over a decade together, we finally tied the knot in February 2023.

  • I have three cats—Fifty, Zero, and George—who keep life interesting and full of personality.

  • Working with JJ in Paris has to be one of the highlights. There was this one night he pushed me to pull an all-nighter in the studio—it was intense, but the energy and creativity were off the charts.

  • Invisibility? Totally overrated. If I could choose, I’d want the power to predict the future—now that would be a game-changer.

  • That moment after my first show in Dubai, when a fan asked for a picture, really hit different. It was a surreal feeling—strange but incredible.

  • I’ve got a real passion for bartending and making sweets—and I recently added baking to the list! Learning to make delicious cakes has been a blast.

  • I drink tea 😉

  • I’m fortunate to have the flexibility to work from home sometimes and spend quality time with family. But, I have to admit, being on the road for shows can be tough—it’s a balancing act between passion and personal life.

  • Personally, I’d say Nas. I get that not everyone might agree, but his lyrics hit differently for me—they speak on a level that feels personal and profound.

  • Don’t listen to anyone else’s advice—trust yourself and do your own thing.

  • King’s Disease 3 by Nas.
